Connoisseurs Scotland is delighted to announce two new members to its collection of luxury hotels in Scotland.

MacLeod House & Lodge, Donald J. Trump’s historic Scottish property in Aberdeenshire, is set amid mature woodland in the heart of the magnificent Trump International estate.  Dating back to the 14th Century, the opulent house hotel offers exquisite superior and grand deluxe guestrooms, intimate bar and dining facilities, providing the ultimate setting for dinner, bed and breakfast, private parties and exclusive use.

Boasting stunning views and bursting with period charm, the accommodation is exceptionally well proportioned and features lavish furnishings, Italian marble en-suites and many signature Trump touches.   With its secret stairways, traditional log fires, whisky snug and spectacular grounds, MacLeod House & Lodge guarantees luxury and comfort in a secluded and dramatic location just a short drive from Aberdeen International Airport and the vibrant city centre.

Ideal for visitors, tourists, business travellers and golfers, guests can also benefit from the highly acclaimed, award winning, championship links golf course created for golfers of all levels of ability.

Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President, Trump International Golf Links, Scotland, saidConnoisseurs Scotland is a highly respected elite collection of luxury properties and we are extremely proud to join such a distinguished group. www.trumpgolfscotland.com

Glencoe House, nested above the village of Glencoe, just two hours by car from Glasgow, is the former home of Lord Strathcona and was built in 1896.  Designed by Sir Robert Rowland Anderson, it has now been converted into an all suite hotel with seven sumptuous suites of between 80sq. metres and 148 sq. metres. This luxury, 5 star suite accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Highlands is a far cry from a conventional hotel room. The suites comprise a substantial sitting room, which boasts an array of period features together with the luxury of your own open fire. Each suite also contains a ‘maxi-bar’ that is composed of a good selection of wines, beers and whiskies, which are but a step away from your sofa and log fire. Your sitting room gives you the space and privacy to rest and unwind uninterrupted. Each suite benefits from panoramic vistas of loch, lake, garden or spectacular mountain views and also contains a dining table, often in your own private dining room, where breakfast and dinner are served. Glencoe House offers an ideal location for all occasions from a short break to a unique and special wedding venue. The house is set in 10 acres of gardens in addition to extensive  Forestry Commission grounds, which are all there to be explored.

Jeremy Hawkings, Chief Executive of Connoisseurs Scotland said: We are delighted to have these two wonderful properties join as members of Connoisseurs Scotland in this, our 22nd year, taking our membership up to 28 luxury properties. We look forward to working with Trump International Golf Links, Scotland to ensure that MacLeod House & Lodge is promoted across the world to the business, golf and leisure markets of Scotland. We are particularly pleased that the property has attracted such praise so soon after opening.

Glencoe House is a very different concept of hotel accommodation, in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland and the attention to detail that Roger Niemeyer and his team have shown in the refurbishment of this magnificent building and the beautiful gardens bides well for the future. 2014 was always going to be an important year for Scotland with so much going on and I am delighted to be able to spread this very good news at such an important time, when the eyes of the world are upon Scotland.
